The Director General of Planning and Housing stressed that the goal "is to enhance the natural values of the environment and the role of lookout in the neighborhood"
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, has supported the drafting of the proposed rehabilitation of neighborhood Albudeite Cross, including the recovery of cave houses, and the incorporation new green areas around them.
The project, which provides an action on an area of 6,000 square meters, includes the refurbishment of hits, walks and various scenic lookouts.
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said that the aim of this intervention "is to enhance the natural values of this environment and the role of lookout in the neighborhood, from which you can see traditional landscapes of the region of Río Mula ".
The town of Albudeite sits on a former defense outpost, bounded by the river Mula and the promenade of the Canyons.
This avenue is crossed by the Cross neighborhood, which was built in the early twentieth century and is known well by the large iron cross that presides over this site.
This is a small neighborhood which is accessed via a pedestrian street that crosses the slope with a group of traditional style houses and numerous uninhabited cave houses today.
The wording of the project has been funded by the regional government through the subsidy program to local government for the development of actions in architecture.
